Martin Walsh is a talented painter who creates art works inspired by the Mourne area and the base of the Mourne Mountains. Martin resides in the village of Rostrevor and specialises in acrylic paintings and limited prints.
The Mourne Wall was built between 1904 and 1922 to enclose the reservoir’s catchment area and traversing fifteen mountains. It was crafted from natural granite stone using traditional dry stone walling techniques. It remains a monument to the skill and strength of the local men.
