MADE IN MOURNE ORIGINAL ART & FINE JEWELLERY IS NOW OPEN

Made in Mourne originally opened its doors in Kilkeel four years ago. The Greencastle Street premises, consisting of a retail space and gift shop, supports local creatives in the Kingdom of Mourne.

The social enterprise and business hub provides a stimulating space to inspire, enable and grow local entrepreneurs in the area. We are delighted to see continued growth and sales throughout what has been a strange and trying time for all businesses.

It was with much excitement that the company launched its second retail space and business hub at 21 Bridge Street, Kilkeel on Friday, 1st October. The gift shop brings with it three new jobs as well as providing a platform to showcase local talent.

Managing Director Jenna Stevenson welcomed Stephen McClelland from Newry and Mourne Co-operative and Enterprise Agency and guests for the launch party and official opening. Stephen did the honours by cutting the ribbon and opening the door to a brand-new chapter and celebrating growth in Mourne.

Stephen told guests “Made in Mourne are a social enterprise that are ahead of the curve of community wealth building, and they couldn’t have done it without the wider Made In Mourne community.”

A special thanks goes to all involved in making this a special occasion and to new Kilkeel business Tsunami Sushi Mourne, Honey Bee Bakery, Floresco Flower Co and local musician Jared Green Music for his fabulous acoustic set during the day.
