MADE IN MOURNE GOES GLOBAL
MADE in Mourne has launched their new e-commerce website, opening up global sales opportunities for over seventy local makers.
Today, the social enterprise has launched its new online e-commerce platform, just in time for the Christmas period. Designed by Mourne Digital, a digital marketing agency based in MADE in Mourne, the new online platform will facilitate and fulfil sales across the globe on behalf of a wide and expanding range of local makers from Northern Ireland. MADE in Mourne Founder Jenna Stevenson knew there was a big opportunity to take the shop online and is excited to be able to provide a platform for local makers to showcase their products around the world.
‘‘Following the MADE in Mourne trade mission to America, which was funded by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and InvestNI back in March over the St Patrick celebrations, we realised there was an opportunity to take the MADE in Mourne shop online. We have many makers in the SHOP that currently don’t sell online and we feel that this is a great opportunity for them to get their products to market. We would also like to thank, West of Morecambe fisheries and InvestNI which allowed us to engage a local Marketing agency, Mourne Digital in the design and build of the website.’’
MADE in Mourne plan to continue to build the portfolio of local Makers, providing more talented creatives with a global platform to sell their goods.
If you would like to support your local makers and have family and friends overseas, then give them something this Christmas to make them feel at home. Pop in store, 37 Greencastle Street, Kilkeel or check out our new online shop at MADEINMOURNE.COM
